This proposal for Fanshawe College addresses the growing needs of students for a community/fitness center. An addition to the Student Union Building transitions to a link which passes beneath the clock tower to the Community Center. The clock tower serves as a point of reference for the campus. The link extends into the new center in the form of a transparent lobby. To the south is the Administration Wing, to the north, the Fitness Center. Further north yet is the Gymnasium displaying a curved zinc roof which is angled to allow sunlight into the gym while buffering the north winds. |
