This winning entry for a competition is located north of the Brantford Civic Center, just east of the Grand River. Focusing around the Orientation Hall beneath a monumental communications mast, the center features three main wings. To the east is a two-story section housing the Intelecom Canada Institute. To the west is a one-story Gallery section which houses the Teleheritage Museum and Telecom 2000. It is a raised structure which provides cover for forty staff parking spaces. To the south is the Workshop wing which connects with the Massey Ferguson Building. The bold architectural statement expresses Canada's role as a world class leader and innovator in the field of telecommunications. |
