As Mott Community College's premiere building, this structure facilitates the college's technology-driven courses such as Construction Trades, Automotive Repair/Service/Testing, Information Technology, Drafting/Vehicle Design/Simulation, Telecommunications, Manufacturing Technology, Electronics, Fluid/Robotics/Automation, Mechanical Engineering, and Quality Assurance. The building rises to three stories at the west end, cascading down to a one story automotive wing to the east, providing a total of 172,000 s.f. of space. The main atrium features a two story glazed wall providing a clear view into the Manufacturing Systems Lab incorporating a 10-ton bridge crane that travels the entire length of the lab (see right) as well as a state-of-the-art Multi-Media/Teleconferencing Auditorium. |
